web to date is a Content Management System for Windows, developed and distributed by Data Becker software publishing house. web to date generates HTML and PHP pages on the client PC and uploads them to a server. Since the first release in June 2002 as version 1.0, more than 100 000 copies of web to date have been sold. The current version (6.0) was released in 2009.
You don't require design and HTML skills: the menu-driven interface and various wizards guide you through the complete process. The created pages can be updated and extended anytime. web to date enables you to edit and configure the website's content and design separately. There is a wide range of design templates and colour palettes at your disposal. web to date leaves it up to you to create your new site's structure from scratch. Alternatively, the site wizard offers a number of pre-defined website structures. Later on, the chosen pre-defined structure can be customised to meet your needs perfectly.
The HTML code is generated by the software on the PC and is not visible to the user in most cases. After generation, or building, the website can be previewed offline on your computer. If required, the code of the created scripts can be modified manually with any tool of your choice. After that you can use web to date's publishing function to upload your website to the web server.
Due to its easy and intuitive handling the popularity of the program with companies and private users has grown rapidly.
